If this is your first time on my site, I recommend understanding my nutrition philosophy before you enter The Blog.

My Philosophy

I’m Tatiana Keay. I’m a registered dietitian, writer, and lover of life.

The story goes that after I became a dietitian I worked as a clinical dietitian in a hospital. It was a valuable experience and I am grateful to have worked with a variety of patients.

My real journey began after graduating with my Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. I realized I could learn whatever I wanted! My curiosity for understanding longevity spiked. The science of intermittent fasting changed how I viewed nutrition forever.

It is my mission in life to keep up with nutrition. Dietetics is an evidenced-based science, so it is my duty to provide reliable information and recommendations in my writing.

Although I do love all things nutrition, I specialize in weight loss and gastrointestinal health. With all that I’ve learned working with patients, I have a calling to start my own area of nutrition that I’ve named Longevity Nutrition.

Longevity Nutrition
My nutrition philosophy embodies a healthful diet and mindful eating to promote longevity. Longevity nutrition is not only about what you eat, but also about your relationship with food. A restricted mindset does not promote longevity.

I believe that mindfulness is an overlooked component of a healthy lifestyle. Mindful eating is a beautiful practice. Similar to mindful meditation, it allows you to experience the present moment. Many health gurus and doctors are missing this element of a healthy diet.

Nutrition will likely remain everchanging. What I do know is that the “dieter’s mindset” has limits. Escaping the diet culturescape is the best path for living an abundant, healthy life. You are in control of your eating behaviors – and it starts with increasing awareness. Question the healthcare industry; question the food industry; question the diet industry.

May we optimize health and ensure longevity by eating well.

Your dietitian and friend,

Tatiana Keay, MS, RD
